Students at Walailak University organized the first-ever Walailak Music Festival on November 13, 2024. The event featured a headline performance by the popular Chiang Mai-based band PURPEECH, alongside a lineup of university clubs including WU BAND, WU MUSIC CLUB, and WU COVER DANCE. Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, delivered a warm welcome address to all attendees.
Following the event’s success, on November 20, 2024, the festival’s organizing committee met with the President, who provided financial support and guidance to ensure the festival continues to grow. The event was designed to create an enjoyable atmosphere and enhance the university’s reputation in the music festival scene while providing students with valuable hands-on event management experience.
