On May 23, 2025, the Division of Student Support and Development (DSSD) at Walailak University organized a policy meeting aimed at driving forward the university’s student care and development system. The event was officially opened by Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, who also delivered a keynote address titled “Policy Direction for Advancing Student Support and Development.”
Following the opening, Associate Professor Dr. Urai Jareprapa, Vice President, presented the conceptual framework for promoting student well-being. Assistant Professor Dr. Arthit Boonrodchu, Assistant to the President and Acting Head of DSSD, shared insights into past initiatives and outlined strategic plans for student support and development in the upcoming academic year 2025.
The meeting was attended by deans, associate deans, and assistant deans responsible for student affairs across faculties and colleges, as well as DSSD personnel. Its primary objective was to ensure that all stakeholders involved in student care are well-informed about the university’s policy direction and implementation strategies for the 2025 academic year.
